If you would like to be placed on the waitlist email smoore@bbyo.org Experience life in the Southwest on a Native American reservation, working with the local community and fellow Jewish teens to complete critical service projects and build cultural bridges. Explore the outdoors and return home seeing the world through new eyes. Meet with community leaders. Examine Jewish approaches to social engagement, learn about leadership and responsibility, and challenge yourself in new ways. ? Participate in meaningful service work that fosters strong connections between you and others. ? Learn about group dynamics as you create a cohesive group, a shared ethic, and overcome challenges together. ? Challenge yourself physically, mentally and socially in a stimulating environment. ? Examine Jewish concepts of justice, community and civic responsibility. ? Expand your personal horizons and your awareness of a culture other than your own; learn about daily life in an American community far from both the city and the suburbs. ? Gain exposure to the unique and varied narratives of American life, history and culture. ? Take risks, open your mind, and feed your curiosity about the world and your place in it.

TRANSPORTATION ARRANGEMENT INFORMATION

Students will be greeted by PanimWorks: Southwest staff at Durango, CO airport (DRO).

Plan to arrive between 11:00am and 6:00pm on July 18, 2010. Staff will meet at the baggage claim area of their specific airline to assist.

If your flight is delayed or rescheduled, please call the Deerhill office TBA.

If you are arriving by car, let us know and we will send you a map to Deer Hill. Please plan to arrive at the Basecamp between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on July 18, 2010.

Departure flights ? make between 8:30am and 2:00pm on July 29, 2010.

Pickup at Basecamp on July 29, 2010  between 9:00 a.m. and noon.
